This year, Fresh and Clean Services chose Autism Hampshire as their charity to raise money for throughout 2018.

The first event took place on the 7th July 2018 when Emma, Laura T, Lucy, Danuta and Phil completed a 13 mile walk. It took them 4 hours and 22 minutes, which was great especially as it was during the middle of the summer heat wave!

Then on the 7th October 2018 Lauren completed the Basingstoke Half Marathon, which she said was the hardest thing she’d ever done, however Lauren managed to complete the very tough and hilly 13.1 mile challenge through determination and encouragement from her generous sponsors.

Laura H was also set for completing the Basingstoke Half Marathon, however she was unfortunate to encounter a hip injury from training! Therefore, Laura H completed a 2,500m swim in just over 1 hour on the 24th November 2018 instead.

From all of the team member’s hard work throughout the year, we are so pleased we received the incredible amount of £1,429.50 from generous sponsors from everyone, which has gone to the amazing cause that is Autism Hampshire. The donations could help the charity in many ways such as helping to maintain residential homes or to build a summerhouse at a residential home.
